Preston Gates’ Document Analysis Technology Group (DATG), a practice group within the firm’s litigation department, delivers efficient and cost-effective document review, production, litigation support, and discovery counsel legal services. We have been conducting document review in complex litigation for decades, including the landmark Exxon Valdez oil spill in which we represented the State of Alaska. Since then, our document review practice group has grown to more than one hundred lawyers and non-lawyer professionals, focused solely on discovery-related matters.
Our attorneys are also involved at the forefront of document retention and electronic discovery policy. The group is represented in the Lawyers for Civil Justice, The Sedona Conference, and is actively involved in the process of updating the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to address electronic discovery.
