Description
National Consulting and Development Corporation (NCD) was founded in 1991. The initial focus of the company was to market leading edge document imaging systems as systems integrators. The company was set up as a regional provider based in the north central midwest, just east of Cleveland, Ohio.
NCD became a reseller of imaging software products produced by Westbrook Technologies, Inc. The company sold, installed and supported systems at BP Chemical, Oswald Risk Management, Crawford Fitting, Nestle/Stouffers and Midwest Materials, Inc.
NCD continued to provide imaging solutions while broadening it's focus to document management, cold and workflow solutions. NCD secured a major contract in 1994 to develop a high volume capture application of credit card receipts for Office Max, Inc. The company developed a solution using a combination of Kofax, Diamondhead, and Visual Basic custom tools. Additionally, NCD began a service bureau business capable of scanning more then a quarter million documents per day. In 1996 NCD secured a second major contract to create a capture application solution to scan and index one million "D" size engineering drawings and two million bill of material documents for a Venice, Italy based capital equipment manufacturer, Danieli Group.
