Description
The International Centre for HACCP Innovation began operating as an independent centre from January 2004, when we relocated from University of Salford, to our new research centre at Salford Business Park. The centre is still associated with School of Leisure, Hospitality and Food Management at the University of Salford. The centre is run under the guidance of Professor Eunice Taylor and Mr Kevin Kane, together with a team of HACCP researchers. A profile of the HACCP team can be found in the above link.
The Pg Cert / Pg Dip MSc in HACCP has been running at University of Salford for nearly four years, and was established by Professor Eunice Taylor and Mr Kevin Kane.
The centre has also organised 3 national conferences at the Lowry Centre, Salford Quays and one at Sainsbury's in London. The first conference in October 2002 covered the theme of 'HACCP for Catering: The way forward'. The second conference in October 2003 covered the theme of ‘New approaches to HACCP in catering'.
