Formed in 1997 and having recently taken over modern purpose built office accommodation, Durham Chambers has rapidly expanded such that we now have 15 Barristers practising a wide range of legal specialisations.
We operate throughout the North-Eastern Circuit, in particular at the Court centres at Newcastle, Durham, York and Teesside. Our practitioners are frequently to be found conducting appeals in London and recent instructions have taken our barristers to Birmingham, Manchester and as far afield as Osnabruk in Germany.
Durham Chambers aims to provide a quality service to our professional and lay clients. We undertake to return all written advice within 14 working days unless the matter is particuarly complex in which case we will notify those who instruct and set a new timetable. We also aim to ensure consistency of Counsel but where it proves essential to return work, we will advise our professional clients no later than 24 hours prior to the hearing.
