Description
Duotrope's Digest is a free resource for writers that primarily offers an extensive, searchable database of current short fiction and poetry markets. We also offer a calendar of upcoming deadlines, submissions trackers (for registered users), and some nifty reports compiled from the data we've accumulated.
We welcome comments, suggestions, and questions. Please note that this is a labor of love project and is still a work in progress. We are adding new features at our whim, when we have time to spare.
Answer: As often as possible. When people send us updates, we generally verify them and update the listing here within 24 hours. We also try to stay informed on happenings in the publishing world. Finally, we go through all the open listings weekly (we wrote some code to help with this) and make any necessary changes to the listings. If you want to know when the last time a listing for a market was updated, look for the "Last Updated" date in small print at the bottom, right of the details box. One caveat: Although we do visit every single publication's guidelines at least once a week, we can't be aware of changes if the editors don't update their website.
