Some have asked me, Henry, your site is called “Dumbshit of the Week” — but you post all the time about dumbshits in the news, dumbshits in politics, dumbshits all over the place. You should have called it “Dumbshit of the Nanosecond”!”
Well, true enough. The inspiration for the site’s name comes from a long time flame board where we had started a long-running thread posting such items. It started off as just a Dumbshit of the Week thing but evolved into everyone throwing entries into the thread; eventually, we had over 60+ pages over a three-year period.
So you’ll find not just a weekly post on a particular dumbshit, and it’s not limited to just politics, or idiots who got in horrible accidents because of their stupidity, or even dumbshits in general. There are occasional posts about clever headlines, political bloviating, the economy, etc.
