Debbie is the author of Hand Dyed Yarn Craft Projects and designs the kits and projects. Pete is our photographer and looks after the website.
Debbie first became interested in crafts at the age of seven, when her gran taught her how to knit. Her interest in knitting grew and led to spinning, and then to dyeing, when she wanted to use more exciting yarns and colours. She remains a keen spinner, and enjoys dyeing fleece and other fibres. A long-standing member of her local Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, Debbie spent five years as Guild treasurer. Debbie holds the City & Guilds certificate in preparing working designs, but acquired most of her skills informally, having been fortunate in meeting a large number of talented teachers and craftspeople who have willingly shared their knowledge and enthusiasm.
Pete is a long-time photography and film enthusiast, having begun his filming career at the tender age of 9 using his dad's 8mm cine camera and his family (and pets) as cast members! He holds a number of qualifications in IT, desktop publishing and website design.
