- Democratic Socialists of America is the largest and most exciting democratic socialist organization in the United States. DSA has claimed the allegiance of such notable proponents of social change as Michael Harrington, Cornel West, and Barbara Ehrenreich, as well AFL-CIO President John Sweeney, and thousands of members less well known, but no less dedicated. Members of DSA work in immediate struggles for social justice, as we build a movement for long-term social change. We bring to our work a strategy for building alliances among social movements and a vision of a more just and equitable society.
