He has also published in several international journals and other scientific and technology-related publications.

An amateur radio operator since 1974 (N5ITU), Dr. Wallach has utilized amateur radio in education through contacts with the NASA space shuttle, the Russian MIR space station, and the new International Space Station (ISS).
