Capt of the Cape Cod Charter Boat Drifter
My wife Elaine and I started a charterboat business in 1970 with a 26' Sakonnet Bass boat, which we named DRIFTER. In 1973 we built the second Drifter, a wooden 36' boat which we ran until 1985, when it was replaced by a 35' JC (our first fiberglass boat). The 35' JC was sold in 1997, and the current Drifter was launched in April 1998. The latest boat represents what we feel is the roomiest and most comfortable boat of all.
Through the years, Elaine and I, our daughter Karen and son David, have fished all of the waters surrounding Cape Cod and the Islands. The boat and crew have caught everything including Stripers, Bluefish, Giant Bluefin Tuna (Elaine's 1042 lb. Bluefin Tuna is our record), White Marlin, and Yellowfin Tuna. We have won numerous trophies in tournaments and hold several Massachusetts Governors Cups.
Throughout the years, customer service, comfort, and satisfaction have been, and will continue to be, our goals. When you charter the Drifter, you sail with a captain who has 36 years of experience operating a charter boat in Cape Cod waters.
