Dr. Pepper is the oldest soft drink in America, and it's packaging even says "Est. 1885". It was created by pharmacist Charles Alderton who worked at drug store in Waco, Texas. The "23" on its packaging is a reference to the 23 authentic flavors that make up the soda.
Dr Pepper is brand within the Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG), which includes other beverages such as A&W, 7UP, Yoo-hoo, Mott's, Squirt, Clamato, and Snapple.
