Dolphin Sea Vegetable Company was established in 1990. We are a small family run business based in Belfast, but source hand harvested seaweed from all over Ireland.
After many years of hand harvesting and supplying the local market with the edible seaweed - Dulse (Palmaria palmata), Dolphin Sea Vegetable Company instigated Research & Development Projects, with major Universities within Ireland, for the drying and cultivation techniques of sea vegetables - edible seaweeds.
This Research & Development resulted in the establishment of the “Seaweed Farm” based in Strangford Lough, Co Down... THE FIRST IN EUROPE OF IT'S KIND!!!!
