It all started back in the early days of Day Of Defeat Beta. I originally played Team Fortress Classic, and when I first heard about Day Of Defeat and saw the preview screenshots I got really excited. I got cracking on a design for a Day Of Defeat website, Planet DoD.
It was only a simple site, and my design skills were really bad back then! In fact, it didn't even have paid webspace...it was hosted on freewebz!
Beta 1.2, clans were starting to form and there was an alliance between certain clans across the community. These clans had a public forum they shared hosted on the BGF clan website. Later, one man (Boldrick) took on the idea to create a UK community with BGF. DoDMoD.co.uk was born!
