Astigmatism is a treatable curvature of the eye caused by blurred vision. When the front surface of the (cornea) lens is different than the other side it is known as astigmatism. There are different kinds of astigmatism, corneal astigmatism has a distorted shape; lenicular astigmatism is when the lens is distorted, both cause blurred vision.
