Description

Saint Andrew's Theological College and Seminary is a church affiliated, educational institution of The Orthodox Anglican Church, the United States representative of the Orthodox Anglican Communion. Initially established in 1967, the Seminary was incorporated in 1975. A vocational school for the ministry, the Seminary provided denominationally-specific, theological training and education for traditional Anglican clergy. In 1996, a distance education program was initiated to allow Postulants for Holy Orders, who were unable to enter the residential program, to prepare for the ministry by studying via correspondence while attending short, spiritual retreats and seminars that were scheduled at churches across the United States. Between 1999 and 2003, the Seminary actively assisted training clergy of the Anglican Rite Synod in the Americas, established an Internet presence, and instituted open admission to the general public.

The primary mission of the Seminary is to propagate Biblical faith and Christian doctrine by preparing laity and clergy for positions of Church leadership via conservative Christian education and traditional Anglican theological training. This education and training is delivered via seminars, retreats, and distance education.
