Title

DigitalNinjitsu - Ancient Techniques in a Digital Age

Description

Excerpted from the website description:

DigitalNinjitsu - providing network tools for security professionals. In my day to day work as a security professional, it was necessary to travel all over the web to perform IP research. The initial intent of this site is to provide a one-stop shop for tools that allow me a single point of research for reaching out and touching information I consider useful. No more entering the IP in 50 different sites, trying to follow all those bookmarks. Just one input, and lots of results. It is my hope that others may find these tools of equal use. I will try to keep the site minimalistic, to stay as low bandwidth as possible, and allowing for maximum throughput. Please do not abuse the site.

Additional Information

Tools provided on the site (from the About page):

Ascii to Base-64: Encode ascii characters in base-64. This is the code used by most standard MIME email formats.

Apply ROT-13: Applies a rotation-13 cipher to a string. Note that this same algorithm will encode and decode the same string. Base-64 to Ascii: Decode a base-64 string into ascii.

DNS Records: Dig for all name server records associated with the domain.

Domain Whois: Perform recursive domain lookups to the authoritative domain administrator. This tool should be considered developmental as I have not had an opportunity to test all 89 top level domains. The big ones (com, net, org, etc) seem to be working fine.

Dshield Ports Trends: Lookup recent port activity in Dshield.

Google It (exclusive): Send the IP to Google and see if there are pages containing information about the IP. *Note: Due to Google's terms of service it was not feasible to modify the results in a DigitalNinjitsu.com web page. Thus, selecting this query will take you directly to a google search results page and run none of the other tools.

Incidents: Check openly available sources on the net for incidents relating to the IP address in question.

IP To Dec/Hex: Convert an IP to its decimal and hexidecimal equivalents. Hey, some people need this!

IP Whois: This tool will recursively search for the WhoIs records of the IP address in question. It begins with the ARIN registry and then will redirect as necessary to obtain what it considers to be the best source of the records.

Misconfig: Check whether a specific domain name is listed for being misconfigured (breaking the RFC rules of the Internet).

NSLookup: Attempt to perform a host to IP resolution.

Port Lookup: Lookup a specific port in the neo-ports list.

Shared Hosting: Check openly available sources on the net for domains that may be hosted on this IP.

SiteAdvisor (exclusive): Check McAfee's siteadvisor for information. *Note: Due to Google's terms of service it was not feasible to modify the results in a DigitalNinjitsu.com web page. Thus, selecting this query will take you directly to a google search results page and run none of the other tools.

Server Type: Check openly available sources for server software information.

Service Check: Initiate connections to the server on commonly available service ports. * Removed due to abuse.

Spammer (exclusive): Send the IP to DNSStuff's spam relay check and see if there are databases containing information about the IP. *Note: Due to DNSStuff's terms of service, it was necessary to build the DigitalNinjitsu.com tool to take you directly to a DNSStuff.com search results page.
