Description

Excerpted from the website description:

Hi, my name is Kirk Allemand. I have been a serious photographer since 1971 when I bought my first 35mm SLR camera while stationed in South Korea. Since then I have worked on improving my photography skills. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography and have a B.S. in Technology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I am a member of NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) and completed the Photoshop World Las Vegas 2005 training sessions. Having an interest in photography and technology, I was a perfect fit for digital photography when it became available. I started shooting digital photography in 1995. Since then, I have been keeping up with the latest technological advances in digital photography. “Never before in human history did people have any idea of what they looked like as children. The rich commissioned [paintings] of their children, but the conventions of portraiture from the Renaissance through the 19th century were thoroughly determined by ideas about class and didn't give people a very reliable idea of what they had looked like." - Susan Sontag In the above quote Susan Sontag was referring to film photography. Today, digital photography gives future generations the ability to see what their ancestors looked like without degredation of the image over time. (Film photos fade with time). My goal is to give my customers quality photography at a reasonable price that will last for generations.
