We are held together by the strong link of this serious disease. In this section entitled "Forums" we want to link people in the diabetes community to one another.
This is ,our tribute to people who live with diabetes and people who have lost their lives to this disease. We have created the Diabetes Community as a visual testament to the personal impact that diabetes has had on the millions of people who are touched by this disease.
We also want the Diabetes Community to serve as a visual reminder to our elected officials that diabetes is a serious disease that impacts everyone - from every race, age, gender, or socioeconomic background. This is an opportunity to bring the issue of diabetes to a level of high priority on our national, state and local healthcare agenda. Through the Diabetes Community, we can put a face to the disease that takes the life of one person every three minutes.
