Dhamaal Soundsystem was the first live simultaneous collaboration of a broad spectrum of performers including; DJS, VJS, MCS, Singers, Tabla, Doumbek, Turntablists and other instrumentalists as well as complete space alteration & art to create a completely unique event experience which hasn’t been replicated since. The Dhamaal crew have performed all over the world and their music has aired worldwide from John Peel’s BBC Radio 1 show and NPR, to a slew of college and community based radio stations all over North America and Europe. We released our debut full length CD entitled Dhamaal Soundsystem, which featured over 10 Dhamaalists and went on to crack the iTunes top 20 Electronic chart. We also produced a 12” EP entitled Transitions as a precursor to our moving on to individual solo projects in 2004. Both productions were released in the US, India and Japan. Dhamaal has garnered recognition as winner of the SF Bay Guardian's “Best of the Bay Award” twice for Best Electronic Act amongst various other awards and highlights. Dhamaal’s music has been licensed to countless projects, including the XBOX 360 game
