A 59 year old female arrived at The Center for Special Dentistry saying she was “disgusted” with her teeth. The patient was well educated and otherwise healthy, but suffered from dental phobia. She had not been seen by a dentist in over 10 years due to fear. The top group of four photographs show the patient as she presented to our office. Note the calculus (hardened plaque build-up) on the inside of the lower teeth.
