Dr. John A. Schrader, DMD, a practicing general dentist in Massachusetts, recognized the difficulty his patients had in locating and purchasing exactly the oral health products he was recommending. He realized that while dentists make specific recommendations based on patients' individual needs and conditions, the wide variety of seemingly similar products and brands made it confusing and sometimes difficult for patients to find exactly the right items.
The fact is that most stores do not carry complete lines of dental products; most dental offices cannot stock these items and sell them on a retail basis; and not all products that look alike are, in fact, equal in their quality or design.
So, in 1995, Dr. Schrader founded the Dental Depot. It has grown to be a single source of oral care products where patients can obtain specific brands and models of items recommended by their dentists - at competitive prices - without having to wade through imitations, substitutes or inappropriate alternatives.
