Dennis Kyne, Jr. attended Church services with his great grandmother, Mildred B. Foye, in the North-side neighborhood when he was a child. Metaphorically making him a fourth generation San Joséan. Dennis' grandfather, Herbert McGuire, retired from the City Hall of San Jose, and Dennis Sr. graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in 1959.
