In keeping with national DBSA policy and our nature as an anonymous peer support group, the DBSA of Northwest Connecticut respects your privacy and anonymity. We maintain the same policies on the Internet as we do in-person: Confidentiality is maintained at all times, and in all ways.
Members are known to one another only by first name. We do not maintain a mailing list of any kind. We do not solicit anyone for any reason. We also do not accept advertising, nor do we share member information with anyone else, since we do not store member information in the first place.
Our Web server does not store “cookies” on your computer. Nor does it track any information which can reveal anything about you. All Web servers do store information such as the IP addresses of file requests, however, as the vast majority of Internet users’ IP addresses change constantly, we cannot use this information to find out anything about you. (All we can use it for is to detect problems, such as missing files or “denial of service” attacks.)
