- David Fairclough was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. At the age of 16, he entered the jewelry industry and served a five year apprenticeship in the jewelry manufacturing arts, during which time he attended the Newcastle upon Tyne College of Art and Industrial Design. After completing his apprenticeship, David moved to the Cambridge area and worked for a London based manufacturing jeweler. In 1965, David decided to emigrate to the United States and in 1974 opened his first jewelry store in Sylvania, Toledo. After almost 30 years of hard work and dedication, David Fairclough realized a life-long dream and opened the doors to Northwest Toledo’s finest jewelry store.
