Giclée (ghee-clay) fine art is produced with continuous ink jet technology on an Iris-type printer. Four million tiny droplets per second by four calibrated color streams of archival ink are deposited on absorbent paper or canvas. The expert printmaker and artist oversee every detail of the reproduction process. The result is a magnificent display of color with the precise hue, value, and density of the original art. Giclees have been shown in exhibitions and purchased for permanent collections in museums throughout the United States and abroad. These include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim and The Smithsonian.
Each Giclée Print is personally signed and numbered by Darlene Gait with the next lowest available print edition number. When purchased, the buyer will also receive a certificate of authenticity outlining the reproduction and original specifics.
Run of (295), each image, printed on quality canvas with oil or archival quality inks, preserving the detail and true color of the image. Framing optional, with a shadow box style frame, in black.
