DANDY BARS© were originally created in December of 1994 by Houston Cantwell, USAF F-16 pilot, as a fund raising project in support of his Basic Flight Training Class.
Houston created the original "Holiday Bar" for the Christmas season. He set up shop inside the base commissary, printing the shoppers "Family Name" in bright red and green letters on the face of the wrapper, and added a clever ingredient list on the reverse side.
Most patrons purchased just a few of the bars while shopping in the commissary . . . then returned later in the day with orders for dozens of bars to be used as stocking stuffers, and as guest treats for their Christmas parties.
