The personal website of Daniel L Houser (MD USA). An artist, and suspected serial killer.

Additional Information

This website was started in late 1996 as a temporary "recruitment project" of sorts unknown, by Daniel L Houser (AKA "The Sand Man").

The website was blocked from the general public at first, by requiring a "test of intelligence" to gain access. The questions were unusual and difficult, so it remained a black hole in the internet, riddled in puzzles. When solved, the rewards were clues leading to a meeting with The Sand Man himself. A haunting piece of classical music played in the background as you read through the site. Then in 2000, Houser was placed under investigation for suspicion of involvement in half a dozen murders spanning the areas of Hanover, Linthicum, Baltimore, and Brooklyn Park (MD USA) from 1997-2000. During this investigation, his website, computer, and numerous data CDs were seized and examined. Nothing solid was ever found, but it did not end there.

Shortly after, he resumed the website's operation and used it to mock the investigation publicly without restricted access, until he was issued a gag order in tie with the case.

With eyes watching his every move, not even a year later, another website emerged. This new website was monitored closely, but seemingly, it's remained nothing more than another personal page on the net (www.danhouser82.com). And from there, the stories fly.

Many believe he's in operation of what's been known as "The Shadow Clan Underground" (a rewarded clue from the original website) and that the only thing that's changed in all of this is the methods of his riddles. Hiding them in plain sight. All that's known, is that both a killer, and a purpose to these riddles, were never found.
