Description
Our organization was formed in late 1998 to stimulate the interest in the attractions and events in Canal Winchester. As a result of a new local hotel and bed tax, the CWCVB was created to help manage the funds collected from the hotel. Our mission is "to promote overnight travelers and other visitors to Canal Winchester as well as promote area attractions and events focusing on the uniqueness of our community."
The CWCVB's Board of Directors are made up of representatives from the major community organizations: Village, Chamber, Downtown, Historical Society, and Events. These representatives donate their time to manage the CVB and work with the media and community organizers to promote the local area.
One of the programs that the CWCVB offers is a grant program for local organizations who wish to use the funds to promote their activity or use the funds in such a way as to meet our mission
