Description
The Government of Vietnam identifies rural development as a high priority. The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) also recognises rural development as a key program sector in its Vietnam Country Strategy 1998-2001. Within its framework of Rural Development, the water sector is considered to be a priority area for program development. The water sector includes projects in rural water supply and sanitation (RWSS), urban water supply and sanitation, and water resources management.
