Description
The roots of New Jersey Grinding began in the Val de Rendena. This small valley in northern Italy was home to many knife grinders who migrated to other parts of the world.
Angelo left the town of Pinzolo and arrived in New York in 1956 to live and work in Brooklyn. As he mastered his trade, he took advantage of the opportunity in 1958 to buy into an existing business — New Jersey Grinding in Newark, N.J.
Meat-processing equipment soon became commonly used in every butcher, supermarket and restaurant. And New Jersey Grinding expanded beyond selling and sharpening knives to sell and service slicing machines, band saws, and butcher tools.
