Title

Champion halter paint quarter horses for sale Curran Ranch Texas

Description

Curran Ranch is dedicated to producing quality horses but we also believe in providing a haven for animals that need special care. For 7 years, Shari has raised and cared for orphaned deer. Each Spring we receive several orphans that need bottle-feeding and a safe place to grow up. Our hope is to release these deer back into the wild, if possible, but if they are handicapped or become too tame to be released, they are provided a permanent home at our ranch.

Pal (pictured lower left below), a 16-year-old palomino quarter horse gelding came to Curran Ranch in April 2001. He developed a serious eye infection that left him completely blind at another ranch. Pal needed a safe place to live out his life and he is now enjoying a pipe fenced area. He became friends with Murphy, a one year old buck that was unable to be released, and they are now inseparable. Murphy seems to understand that Pal needs assistance and actually touches him and guides him to food and water. Murphy now sleeps under Pal at night so that he can be close to alert him to any danger.

Kevin and Shari Curran have been involved in showing dogs for over 20 years. Both of them have shown dogs in conformation and obedience, achieving advanced titles in AKC trials with a variety of breeds. Currently, Kevin is showing a Bernese Mountain Dog, Rugby, in Open and is training a Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, Ruby. Shari is currently training Shiner, a three-year-old Golden Retriever in Open Competition and an Irish Wolfhound puppy, Killian, for Novice.
