We are nestled in the arms of Lake Texoma, away from the hustle of the city, with nature trails, beautiful trees, a peaceful relaxing view of the lake with its abundance of birds and wildlife. What more could a nature lover ask for. Our resort offers a recreation hall for your family reunions, church retreat, weddings and receptions, birthday parties, anniversary parties and more. Should you choose to do your own cooking, the hall has a full kitchen, or your meals can be catered from our restaurant. "The Cove Cafe" offers a variety of foods including freshly baked special occasion cakes. Should you wish to spend the night at Cumberland Cove Resort, we offer housekeeping log cabins, motel rooms, full RV hook-ups and even primitive camping sites.
Cumberland Cove Resort is located on beautiful Lake Texoma and has been listed as one of the best fishing spots on the lake. In 1988 a 118 1/2 pound Blue Catfish was caught from our facility. This was a National Record, State Record, and naturally a lake record for this species. Since then several 50 to 60 pound Blues have been landed. The Cove is not only a great catfishing spot but also known for its many other game fish. The striper and crappie are currently being caught in record numbers. If your fancy is waterfowl hunting, we can offer you some of the best duck hunting in the central flyway. If you love to fish and hunt but really like the services of a professional guide to take you to all the hot spots, we can certainly provide that for you also. All our guides are professionals and will strive to make your trip an adventure of a life time.
Just a short drive from Cumberland Cove Resort is Fort Washita, a Civil War Fort that was held by both the Union army and the Confederates. It is a great place for a historic visit. Other area attractions include the "Texoma Belle Riverboat", a 137 passenger true Mississippi Style Paddlewheel River boat. It is available for sightseeing cruises and lunch or dinner cruises. The "Texoma Belle" is located at Lake Texoma State Park. Madill, Oklahoma has several antique shops that are a must to browse. No visit would be complete without a visit to the Texoma Peanut Company which offers many varieties of peanuts for your snacking pleasure.
