The Culver School District and each of the Culver schools met AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress). Since the 2001-2002 school year all of the Culver schools have met AYP. What is AYP? It is a statewide accountability system mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 which requires each state to ensure that all schools and districts make Adequate Yearly Progress. Why is AYP so important? The AYP provisions in NCLB set a new standard for defining success.
