Cancer is a leading cause of death in Alberta and the number of new cases is steadily rising. With a rapidly growing and aging population the challenge of conquering cancer has never been greater.
Thanks to a provincial team of world-class researchers, cancer care specialists, dedicated volunteers and outstanding donors who share our vision of conquering cancer, the Alberta Cancer Board (ACB) and the Alberta Cancer Foundation (ACF) are meeting the challenge.
Established in 1984 under the Cancer Programs Act, the Alberta Cancer Foundation raises funds and accepts donations on behalf of the Alberta Cancer Board. The Foundation provides support for province-wide research, prevention programs, a patient financial assistance program, and to enhance patient care at all ACB cancer centres.
