As of 2009, less than 1% of cities in Russia, Ukraine,or Belarus have a local Christian radio station. This is where the ministry of NEW LIFE RADIO comes in to meet the need for Christian radio access. NLR's satellite service is especially important in Russia, as recent political developments have worked to stifle the growth of Christian media.
