Description
Crescent Moon Duvet & Pillow Company is owned and operated by Julie McLean. Julie has an impressive and extensive background in all areas of creating things with fabric. Born in BC, she began her career at age 11 by working in the family business. Growing up Julie didn't just sew; she created many of the clothes that she and her family wore. She went on to take fashion design in school. Creating with fabrics continued in Julie's life as she expanded her talents into custom dress making, draperies and eventually teaching her trade. She moved overseas with her husband in 1995 and returned in 1997.
At that time Crescent Moon Ranch began to turn llama and alpaca wool into duvets, mattress pads and pillows. Upon her return, Julie was contracted to make some of the first duvets for the Crescent Moon Duvet and Pillow Company. Two years later she decided to get serious about duvet making and purchased a long arm quilting machine. In October 2005, after eight years of experience, she purchased the company.
Julie has expanded her client base and now ships her duvets across Canada and the United States, as well as to England and France.
