Pacific Coast Ashes at Sea supervises ocean scattering off the coastline of Southern California. We cruise out of the harbor to a scattering site 3 miles offshore. At this point, and with the vessel at rest, the Captain supervises the scattering of ashes while the Nautical Commitment is read, and the deceased's name is spoken as the final personal tribute to their life on earth. Any other provided mementos may also be dispensed, however, they must be biodegradable to conform to California and U.S. Government regulations.
We are always mindful of family needs for services in a refined, dignified and reflective manner. We are governed and abide by some of the strictest environmental protection laws in the country, and are in full compliance with all applicable regulations. The required governmental reporting is included as part of our services at no additional cost.
