Description
The concepts used by Creekside Herbs have grown from a love of organic gardening and herbalism. Since 1969, when Sharon began her studies, Larry and Sharon McQuirk have been growing, wild crafting and studying plants. After a course given by Rosemary Gladstar in the seventies, Sharon began developing high quality herbal formulations. They have been in the Sierra Foothills of California for the past 30 years working with the plants. Re-creating remedies that have worked best for their family and friends, they began Creekside Herbs.
Larry has had extensive training in therapeutic massage, he is a CMT, and owns Complete Massage Services. Larry and Sharon have also studied Ayurvedic concepts and together they have completed 3 years of study at Evergreen Herbal Ministries. This has led to further study of Ayurvedic Body Work with Diamond Way Ayurveda. Larry offers traditional and Ayurvedic body work at Complete Massage Services.
Most recently, Sharon has compleated training at the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda and is a sadhaka under the direction of Swamini Mayatitananda, the schools founder. Sharon offers herbal and Ayurvedic Counseling, as well as classes at Complete Massage. The introduction of Ayurvedic concepts into herbalism has reinforced the important concept of holistic health care. The remedies produced by Creekside Herbs are not meant to replace a healthy lifestyle, but to enhance it.
