About Craftex Mills
Intricate designs and weaves dominate the looms at one of the oldest mills in North America. Craftex Mills was founded in 1903 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At present, we are in our third generation of family stewardship. The first generation manufactured piano scarves, a fashionable home furnishing of the time. A few years later, our focus shifted to woven jacquard fabrics, which we continue to manufacture today.
All products are developed at our state-of-the-art design studio by a team of designers, textile technicians, colorists, and Computer Aided Design specialists. Dedicated to style and creative excellence, designers obtain inspiration from a variety of sources to produce new residential and contract collections each year. Designers also have access to an archive of 30,000 fabrics spanning 100 years to create an authentic look from seasons past or to update archival designs or traditional tapestries. On special product requests our stylists work with clients to create custom collections and creations.
About the Craftex Mills Manufacturing Facility
Creative designs are transformed into beautiful fabric at the weaving facility located in Auburn, Pennsylvania. Warp and fill yarns weave seamlessly using fabric constructions exclusively developed by Craftex. To achieve 100% compliance with established U.S.A. standards, we use the latest technology as well as top quality yarns and fibers.
