Our mission is to provide high quality child care programs for infants, toddlers, and preschool children up to full day kindergarten. The main goal of Cradle to Crayons Child Development Center of Manassas, Virginia is to help each child develop a positive self image by providing a warm, loving child care atmosphere. Children are motivated to grow at their own pace emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.
We accomplish this mission by hiring and retaining staff educated in the field of Early Childhood Education with a demonstrated love and nurturing feeling for small children. Our staff will be carefully screened to meet strict standards. Criminal checks and sexual abuse checks are performed on all employees before starting work at the center. Staff regularly attends training sessions and staff meetings to remain current in the field of childcare. All staff are required to hold a current First Aid and/or CPR Certificate. We feel child development is best achieved through strong child care and a good partnership with parents. To promote this partnership in an effort to enhance child development, we have an open door policy and welcome parents at any time into our classrooms.
Child care programs at Cradle to Crayons of Manassas Virginia, are designed to be age specific and reinforce learning experiences through fun and exercise. For examples: our mobile infants child care program is designed for the baby who has developed beginning walking and explorations skills. Indoor play equipment, soft play areas, a variety of pull and push toys, as well as large manipulative materials enable the toddler to explore the world in a safe, fun and exciting environment; our toddler child care program is designed to stimulate a child’s development in the areas of independence and initiative, social relationships; The preschool child care program is the start of the formal learning process; and the kindergarten child care programs encourage learning through play, share their knowledge with one another and, introduces the Standard of Learning requirements.
