About Our Company....
Coyote Springs Trading Company is a family owned business that was founded in 1997 in the kitchen of our home in Mound City, KS. We initially started making soaps and creams for ourselves, family members and friends. Candles, being a natural complement to soaps, was something we decided to experiment with next.
Our goal was to produce a quality, highly fragranced, long burning candle that was unique and a little "different" from the normal glass jar candles available in the marketplace. We desired a container that was decorative as well as durable. Appreciating the fine art of vintage and antique cans and crates, we knew that they would be the perfect adornment for our candle.
Starting with local craft fairs, our sales and reputation grew. The candle side of our operation grew so quickly that we had to quit making soaps and concentrate solely on candles. Since our beginning we have moved out of the kitchen and garage into a beautiful historic building in downtown Mound City. We now have several employees that assist in production as well as friends and family that chip in with help when needed. We wouldn't be able to do what we do now without them!
