- Corwin Medical Care (CMC) is an independent primary care group located in Plainfield, IL. Our organization began in Lemont in 1984 with the purchase of a solo internal medicine practice from Dr. Zenon Kowaliczko. The origins of the practice actually date back to the 1940’s when Dr. Caldwell opened the Lemont office. Bruce Corwin, MD joined the practice in 1984 and initially continued on as a traditional solo practice.
