St. Luke's Surgical Center, Inc., is a 26,000 square foot free standing ambulatory surgery center with six operating rooms and a twelve-bed recovery room. The center, which opened on November 5, 1985, is licensed by the State of Florida and Certified by Medicare. In recognition of its commitment to excellent care and substantial compliance with the standards for ambulatory health care organizations, the surgical center was granted a three year accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).
Unlike many hospital associated surgery centers, our outpatient facility fee includes all supplies and medications used during surgery. In the past year, studies have shown that this amounts to a 35% cost savings for patients and insurance companies.
