Created in October 1995 by Philippe Corcos, the first mission of CortecNet was to provide a reliable range of consumables to the European community of researchers in the field of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).
However, from a niche market approach (NMR), CortecNet wanted to become a key player in supplying consumables in the Laboratory Market by creating a B2B e-commerce Marketplace. This concept was based on the creation of a unique consolidated e-catalog, listing hundreds thousands products, federating hundreds of suppliers classified in tens of categories of products.
Beginning of 2000, CortecNet raised about 4,0 M€ to build a first version of this Marketplace with a tool of e-Procurement & Supply chain.
