Cook Computing is the personal website of Charles Cook. It is a place for discussing software related issues and personal software projects.
I have been in the software development business for 25 years. After short periods working with COBOL and Pascal, I worked in C, C++, and now mainly C#. Although I currently work exclusively in the Microsoft world I spent a lot of time working with Unix in the earlier years.
The main areas in which I have worked over the last 10 years have been document management and unified messaging, mostly on server development. On the Windows side this has involved extensive work using DCOM and .NET.
