Cook in a Book is the original 'Cook Book Company' and is owned by John Burton in Dorset, England. John (an Environmental Health Officer in an earlier life) developed the means of printing small quantities of cookbooks and started the original business. Since then some other competitors have arrived on the scene. We're not too worried, and our quality and comitment remain the same, and if in some instances are prices are a little higher than others we ask you to compare the amount of work we offer free to sort out your book for you together with the quality of the finished product.
The offhand style of much of this site is in itself an evolution from the reaction we have received. We're well aware that the odd person might think it unprofessional, but to be blunt - we don't care. We suggest those people could use a little joy in their lives.
You can't please all of the people all of the time, they say... So be it, we'd like to please the people who can have a smile. For those people, we'll go several extra miles.
