Consumers for Cable Choice is an alliance of consumer organizations with members throughout the United States who are committed to the development of a competitive, vibrant cable communications market. Our goal is the creation of an open, diverse, pro-consumer market for cable subscribers that will stimulate price, choice and service options.
Unreasonable franchise rules that nurtured and protected cable video providers during the last century must make way for a new era in cable video based on competitive choice in the marketplace.
Consumer control, choice, interactivity and accessibility must be the driving force in the marketplace, and all public policy should encourage those outcomes. Universal standards must be instituted to insure prompt and fair consumer protection and dispute resolution for service quality and customer disputes.
