How do we know we're making progress?
With documents that are alive, one measure of progress is simply "change." When the consensus polling document is changing it means people are engaged in the process.
How do we know we're moving towards agreement? That's where the YesMeter comes in! At any time, a participant can change their status from Yes to Not Yet, or vice versa. This status choice answers the question, "Are we done?". Participants are encouraged to change their status as often as necessary, and to update their public comments to give a bit more information about why their status is what it is.
