- Andy has been involved in one way or another with work in the outdoors since 1983 and during 22 years of service as a Royal Marines Commando. He has led small team expeditions in arctic Norway & the French and Austrian Alps. Andy is qualified as a Joint Service Alpine Ski Instructor, Military Ski-tour Leader, Military Parachutist, and has been an assistant instructor training military personnel in arctic survival. Environmental conservation is a passion for Andy who believes in a simple approach to being in the wild ... If you take your own stuff in, you should also take it out when you leave.
