Emilio, informally known as Bas, is from Dangriga, Belize, and Michelle hails from New Orleans originally. This Belizean-American couple met at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans when they were teenagers. Coincidentally, Michelle was born on Mardi Gras day, so Mardi Gras and New Orleans form a part of their colorful history.
When they were first married, Bas and Michelle managed an island resort for Bas' sister and brother-in-law. When Bas and Michelle began designing Coco Plum Resort over three years ago, they already understood what guests like and want in their vacations. They planned the resort to please their guests. Their knowledge gained as resort operators has given them the ability to provide their guests at Coco Plum with excellent services.
Bas and Michelle love meeting people from all over the world - to learn about them and share with them the wonderful things about living on the Caribbean Sea.
